Reveal landing and exit pages in Google Analytics for affiliate transactions!

As all affiiate transactions take place on the website of the advertiser, the session of each visitor on your website will never end. This happens when your visitor leaves your website by clicking on an affiliate link that opens in another tab or window. In order to determine the correct landing and exit page of a visitor on your website that generated an affiliate transaction we've found a very cool solution! We call it LP&EP tracking (Landing Page and Exit Page tracking).

How does it work?

For all transactions generated within a session we are able to save the landing and exit page anonymously. The landingpage is based on the first touch of a visitor. The exit page is based on the last click on an affiliate link of a visitor that generated the transaction. When a transaction is pushed to Google Analytics we are able to match this information to the actual visitor profile! Google Analytics will now tell you the actual path a visitor took before generating a transaction on the website of an advertiser. You will exactly know what pages are generating money for you!

The best of it? You don't have to change anything! We got it all handled by our iv.js code. If you use our cloaked link API you need to send another variable in order to get this feature working.

Optimizing pages based on real data has never been so easy!
