How to tag affiliate links with Ivanhoe.io sub-id's

Do you have an affiliate website and do you want to track your affiliate transactions in your Google Analytics account? Start tagging your affiliate links with Ivanhoe.io sub-id's and you are almost ready to go!

Install the Ivanhoe.io tag

Before tagging your affiliate links with Ivanhoe.io sub-id's you need to make sure you have installed the Ivanhoe.io tag on every page of your website! You can find this code in your Ivanhoe.io account (Account > Ivanhoe.io tag). Just copy and paste this tag into the header of your website.

Tag your links with Ivanhoe.io sub-id's

To create unique affiliate links you need to tag every affiliate link on your website that needs to be tracked with Ivanhoe.io. You can do this by easily place IVANHOE (written in capitals) as a sub-id in your affiliate links.

General example:

99% of the global affiliate networks supports sub-id's that can be generated from their dashboard or you can just put them in the affiliate tracking link you use. In most cases the function is similar to the example below.

Let's say that this is your affiliate link you want to tag:

http://affiliatelink.com?campaign=123&subid=

then you need to add IVANHOE as a sub-id like this:

http://affiliatelink.com?campaign=123&subid=IVANHOE

Use your existing sub-id's with Ivanhoe.io sub-id's

If you are already using sub-id's you can use them together with Ivanhoe.io sub-id's. Just seperate the IVANHOE sub-id with a separator like this: IVANHOE-yoursubid
